Thank you for joining us on September 20, 2023 to celebrate the Honorable Justice Edward Chavez and his contributions to civil legal aid!   The sold-out event celebrated our community's legal aid champions, shared the history and roots of legal aid in New Mexico, and challenged each and every person to advocate for and support New Mexico's civil legal aid services.

Bosson, retired NM Supreme Court Justice; Nick Mattison, partner, Feferman, Warren and Mattison; Sireesha Manne, executive director, New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty, Charles K. Purcell, director, Rodey Law Firm; and Edward Hakim Bellamy, inaugural poet laureate for the City of Albuquerque, founder of www.beyondpoetryink.com, and law student.
