Be a Leader for Justice
Law firms and solo practitioners are invited to join the Equal Access to Justice Leadership Society. Members of the Leadership Society believe that New Mexico is strengthened when everyone in our community has access to the justice system. Civil legal aid and advocacy result in more families staying in their homes, more workers receiving the pay they've earned, more children accessing the education they deserve, more people being protected from their abusers, and more seniors receiving much-needed healthcare. Leadership Society members receive recognition online, in print, and at Equal Access to Justice events.
Rule 16-601 of The Rules of Professional Conduct encourages licensed attorneys in New Mexico to financially support and volunteer their services to civil legal programs that help the indigent population in our state. Equal Access to Justice is the perfect organization to make a financial contribution to support civil legal services, and to discharge your pro-bono responsibility. All New Mexico law firms, regardless of size, are urged to give at least $250 per attorney.
To join the Leadership Society, please either: contact Heather Norfleet at (505) 339-8096; click on the button below to sign up online; or mail a check to Equal Access to Justice, P.O. Box 25941, Albuquerque, NM 87125. Thank you!
